Walmart Drawings

Walmart releases some products as a drawing instead of a live drop. You enter, Walmart picks the winners, and there is no queue to sit in and no checkout to race. This page covers the whole process.

A drawing is a separate release type. Nothing on this page applies to Walmart's regular queue drops or first-come-first-serve (FCFS) restocks, and nothing in the release guide applies to a drawing. Drawings run in Drawing mode. Everything else runs in Normal mode.

Entering a drawing

Add the drawing SKU

Put the SKU from the drawing into the task group's monitor input, exactly as you would for any other product.

Set Mode to Drawing

In Create Tasks, set Mode to Drawing.

Start tasks whenever you like

With the drawing SKU set, tasks can be started at any time. They find the drawing, settle on Waiting Until its open time, and sit there until it opens. Start them hours or days ahead if you want.

That is the whole setup. Every other setting stays exactly as it is for a normal drop, and there is no timing to hit.

What you should see

A task that has found the drawing works through a short sequence in its logs, then settles into waiting:

3. Checking Payment Information

4. Checking Cart

5. Checking Drawing

6. Waiting Until Aug 31, 7:00pm MDT

That last one is the drawing's open time, shown in your own local date and time. Two people entering the same drawing from different timezones see different text for the same moment, so compare against your clock, not someone else's screenshot.

A task sitting on Waiting Until has done its job for now. Leave it alone.

Waiting uses no data. A task sitting on the drawing's open time is doing nothing but waiting, the same way Waiting for Product costs nothing on a queue drop. Starting hours early costs you nothing.

Changing Mode on running tasks

You can switch Mode without recreating your tasks, but the bot completely reinitializes a task when its mode changes. Treat a mode switch as a restart, not a live edit like changing delays. If your tasks are already running in Normal and you flip them to Drawing, they start over.

What happens after you enter

Your tasks enter the drawing for you. If you win, Walmart charges the card the entry was made with, which is the default card on the Walmart account, and places the order itself. Nothing needs to be running on your side at that point, and there is no checkout for you to complete.

Which card and address that is comes from your Refract profile. When the task runs, Refract sets the default shipping and payment info on the Walmart account from the profile assigned to that task. So the profile you put on a drawing task is the one that gets charged and shipped to if you win.

What does not apply to a drawing

The drop-night routine exists for queue drops. None of it carries over here:

• No queue to enter, so nothing to wait in and no queue proxies to worry about.

• No saved-session timing to hit. The "logged in hours before the drop" rule is a queue-drop rule.

• No Offer ID and no Skip Monitoring, the same as queue drops.

• No drop-night checklist, no waves, and nothing to watch while it runs.
